Set-up
How to set up a kaipuyiree adjustable base
Short answer
You do not need tools. With two people: open the box where the bed will go, lay the base upside down on the packaging, screw in the legs by hand, turn it upright, fit the mattress retainer bar at the foot end, plug the power supply into the wall, test every button on the remote, then put the mattress on.

Step by step
Get ready
You need two people and no tools. Clear the floor where the bed will go and keep the user manual at hand.
Open the box where the bed will go
The base is heavy (the King alone is about 123 lb), so carry it into the bedroom in its box. Check you have the remote, the legs, the retainer bar, the hardware and the manual.
Lay the base upside down
Place it fabric side down on the flattened cardboard so the floor and fabric are protected and the leg sockets face up.
Screw in the legs by hand
Choose your height first: the legs give 7.5″–12.5″ of clearance. Turn each leg into its socket until it is snug. Use the same height on every leg so the base stands level.
Turn the base upright
Lift it with two people, one at each side. Do not drag it on its legs or tip it onto one corner.
Fit the mattress retainer bar
Push the metal bar into its holders at the foot end. It stops the mattress from sliding when the head is raised.
Connect the power
Connect the power supply as shown in the manual and plug it into a wall outlet. Route the cord so it cannot be pinched by the moving sections.
Test every button before the mattress goes on
Raise and lower the head and foot, press Flat, and switch the under-bed light on and off. On the Massage model, also try TV, Anti-Snore, ZG, M1, M2 and the massage buttons.
Add the mattress
Lay your mattress on the deck against the retainer bar, press Flat, and make the bed.
Before you put the mattress on
Check every function when the base arrives and contact support straight away if anything is wrong. It is much easier to sort out a problem with the base empty and the box still in the house. A scuffed outer box is normal after shipping and does not mean the base is damaged.
