King vs Split King: can two sleepers adjust their sides separately?

By the kaipuyiree product team · Updated

Short answer

The kaipuyiree King is a single 80″ × 76″ base (length × width) for a 76″ × 80″ mattress (width × length). Both sleepers share the same head and foot position. A Split King normally uses two Twin XL bases and separate mattresses so the sides can move independently. The models shown here do not include Twin XL or Split King.

One base or two independently moving sides?

“King” describes a mattress size. “Split King” also describes how the bed is divided. Check both the mattress and the bases when comparing products.

What the kaipuyiree King does

The Classic King deck measures 80″ × 76″ (length × width). It fits a standard 76″ × 80″ mattress (width × length) and has a maximum capacity of 950 lb, including the mattress and sleepers. One remote controls the head and foot sections across the full width.

The Massage model comes in Full and Queen in this catalog. Its memory buttons recall positions for the whole bed; they do not divide the bed into independent sides.

Choose around how you both use the bed

  • If you want the same recline, a single base can suit that shared position.
  • If one person wants to sit up while the other stays flat, compare independently controlled bases and separately bending mattresses.
  • If keeping your existing King mattress is essential, ask its manufacturer about compatibility before changing the base arrangement.
